Get Involved
Apart from pitching concepts and standing a chance at getting the next film funded, there are many ways in which individuals with prime interest in cinema can be involved at the Short Film Factory.
01. Technical Internship
- Is open for application to film or media students or fresh graduates. Individuals are selected on the basis of their prior experience, field of study, interest factors and time flexibility. Applications can be made year round and due to heavy flow of requests we expect an application for technical internship arriving us a minimum of two months in advance to a project one would like to be associated to.
- SFF provides logistical support and basic remuneration to such interns.
- Current Vacancy: Still Photographer, Documentary Filmmaker, 2D animator, Film Colorist, Location Sound
02. Volunteer/ Internship
- In a production there are various stages a volunteer can be involved in. From production facilitation to screening support, we are constantly on a lookout for dynamic and willing volunteers. At SFF all volunteers are remunerated positions hence we are mostly looking for individuals with very sincere interests on cinema and dynamic abilities to work in severe work conditions.
- Students or artists from any national or ethnic background may apply.
03. Organise a Screening
- Our work is all very low-key and we are proud to say that as in independent firm, the world mostly bites us. We are constantly making films and it is with independently organized screenings that we wish to cater to the larger masses. If screening one of our film is of any interest to you, write us a mail and find an attractive profit sharing deal we always have to offer.
- Screenings offers for SFF Project 2010 are accepted from February 2010.
- Screening offers need not be confined to Nepal.
04. Join the Docskool Network
- SFF is facilitated by Docskool, an open networking platform of amateur and aspiring filmmakers in Nepal. To be formally associated with SFF, every individual must first become a member of the Docskool network. The network offers regular free weekly screenings, a book/ film library open on weekends and a network of film hungry zombies constantly on a lookout for partnership to make their next film. You decide what you wish to go for. Applications and procedures available at: http://www.docskool.org
