SFF 5 Rs. Cine Fund Launch

Cinema stepping into not so glorious 50 some years in Nepal, still functions on the basis of repetition, dogmatic indulgement with mainstream and suppression of the viewer as its principal agenda.

We envision film as a free form of expression, of a space where the artist freely explores the art born in him/her.

Short Film Factory is an independent cine project aiming to be realised as a public participatory film fund in Nepal; an existence of which enable cinematically sound individuals to realise cinema without social, economic or political barriers.

The 5 Rupee cine fund is a public participation project where people from all parts of life can contribute in the making of SFF as a local fund.

In incubation between 2010 - 2013, SFF targets to produce six films of genuine Nepali characters created by young Nepali filmmakers. This fund aiming to make it happen.

Catch project partners Albatross and Alt F4; as they play live aiming to enable Nepal realise the cinematic dream it has long had.
